On February 13, The Criminal Court (the 5th Circuit terrorism) decided to replace the pretrial detention of Ebrahim Ahmed Abdel-Samie with precautionary measures, in connection with Case No. 1057 of 2020 (State Security). In which he’s charged with joining a terrorist group.
Abdel-Samie was arrested from his workplace in Mo’men restaurant located in Bab El-Louk area in connection with the September 2019 events. In the beginning, he was listed in Case 1338 of 2019 State Security until a decision to release him was issued on November 3, 2020. However, the decision didn’t pass, and he was rotated in the current case.
