Yesterday, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Ashraf -20 years- and Ismael Abou Zeid -21 years- for 15 days in connection with Case No. 41 of 2022 (State Security).

Both Ashraf and Abou Zeid were arrested on April 11, against the backdrop of posting a sarcastic video on Tiktok of children throwing water bags on the passengers of Port Said streets during Ramadan.

The Supreme State Security Prosecution investigated them for the first time on April 14 and charged them with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act.
