Today, the Supreme State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of worker Ahmed Ali El‑Sayed for 15 days pending investigations in case No. 3383 of 2026 (Supreme State Security). In which he faces charges of broadcasting false news and statements that could harm national security and social peace, undermining the state’s authority, and using an online platform to promote a terrorist act.
El‑Sayed was arrested at a security checkpoint in 10th of Ramadan City, where security forces stopped him and inspected his mobile phone. He was detained over posts he had shared on his personal Facebook page.
