The third circuit (criminal / terrorism), decided on Wednesday 31 March 2020, to replace Pretrial Detention with Precautionary Measures of “Atef Hasaballah” Editor in Chief of “Alkarar Press website”.
“Atef” was imprisoned pending case No. 558 of 2020, Supreme State Security, due to accusations of joining a terrorist group, and using social media to commit a crime.

On February 23, the Third Circuit (Criminal/Terrorism) decided to renew the detention of Atef Hasballah, editor-in-chief of the AlkararPress website for 45 days pending investigations into case No. 558 of 2020 Supreme State Security, on charges of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and using an account on social media to commit a crime.
