Mohamed Mostafa Released With Precautionary Measures

On April 26, the Haram Criminal Court decided to release Mohamed Mostafa Sayed Saleh, replacing his pretrial detention with precautionary measures. He is to appear again before the court after 45 days, pending investigations in Case No. 53082 of 2025 (Al-Haram Misdemeanors).
Mostafa was arrested while at his house on October 28, 2025. An official arrest report was not filed until November 25, 2025, and he was presented to the prosecution on November 26, after being unlawfully detained for a month. He faced charges of joining a banned group established in violation of the law.

7 April 2026

Al-Haram Misdemeanor Court decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Mostafa Said Saleh for 45 days pending investigation in Case No. 53082 of 2025 (Al-Haram Misdemeanors), in which he is accused of joining a banned group established in violation of the law.

It is noted that the defendant was arrested at his home on 28 October 2025, and a police report was filed on 25 November 2025. He was then brought before the prosecution on 26 November 2025, following nearly a month of detention without legal justification, and the defendant’s detention has been renewed several times since then. 

5 April 2026

Today, the Criminal Court (the Council Chamber) decided to adjourn the hearing session regarding Mohamed Mostafa Sayed Saleh’s detention renewal, Pending investigations in lawsuit No.  53082 of 2025 (Al-Haram Misdemeanors), to April 7, due to technical issues that prevented him from attending the online hearing session from his prison cell.
Mostafa was arrested while at his house on October 28, 2025. An official arrest report was not filed until November 25, 2025, and he was presented to the prosecution on November 26, after being unlawfully detained for a month.  The Criminal Court had previously dismissed an appeal he filed against his continuous detention.
Mostafa is accused of joining a banned group established in violation of the law. 

27 March 2026

The Twenty-Seventh Circuit of the Shubra El-Kheima Misdemeanor Court rejected the appeal filed by the defendant, Mohamed Mostafa Sayed Saleh’s lawyer, against the continuation of renewing his pretrial detention in lawsuit No. 53082 of 2025 (Al-Haram Misdemeanors). The court decided to uphold his detention.

It is noted that the defendant was arrested at his home on 28 October 2025, and a police report was filed on 25 November 2025. He was then brought before the prosecution on 26 November 2025, following nearly a month of detention without legal justification, and the defendant’s detention has been renewed several times since then. 


22 February 2026

Al-Haram Misdemeanor Court decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Mostafa Said Saleh for 45 days pending investigation in Case No. 53082 of 2025 (Al-Haram Misdemeanors), in which he is accused of joining a banned group established in violation of the law.

Al-Haram Misdemeanor Court decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Mostafa Said Saleh for 45 days pending investigation in Case No. 53082 of 2025 (Al-Haram Misdemeanors), in which he is accused of joining a banned group established in violation of the law.

28 December 2025

Al-Haram Misdemeanor Court decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Mostafa Said Saleh for 15 days pending investigation in Case No. 53082 of 2025 (Al-Haram Misdemeanors), in which he is accused of joining a banned group established in violation of the law.

It is noted that the defendant was arrested at his home on 28 October 2025, and a police report was filed on 25 November 2025. He was then brought before the prosecution on 26 November 2025, following nearly a month of detention without legal justification, and the defendant’s detention has been renewed several times since then.
