Retrial of Revolution Third Anniversary Protesting Case Postponed

Cairo Criminal Court postponed the retrial of case number 1561/2015 to December 25, to continue the hearing of the defense pleading.

The 227 defendants of this case had been previously sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison, on the background of protesting on the third anniversary of 25 January revolution. They were accused of intentional killing, killing attempt, possessing weapons, and illegal use of force. They were also charged with protesting and assembling illegally.

The case is registered with number 1561/2015, Downtown Cairo and felony number 12096/2014 Abdeen.
